We build augmented intelligence. AI comprehends. People decide.
Astramir is an established, independent company with a global team, building for public agencies. Our platform, VerityAI™, reads across the systems an agency already runs, leaves every decision with a named person, and keeps a record that holds up in public.
Augmented Intelligence equals, open parenthesis, AI comprehends plus Human decides, close parenthesis, raised to the power of Trust.
AI comprehends: it reads sensors, records, and context faster and more completely than any one person could. Human decides: every recommendation waits for a named person to accept it, and only that person acts in the real world. Trust is what lets a public agency stand behind both. It comes from identity on every action, an audit trail that holds up, and data that stays on your own infrastructure, under your own rules. The AI Governance module keeps your agency in charge of what the model learns and what goes into use. Trust applies to everything the system does, and our trust hierarchy sets the order: AI inference never overrides law or observation.
Why we started Astramir
We believe responsible AI has to make a real-world difference, and that every inference and every decision it informs must be accountable, reportable, and auditable.
Our mission is to make the people who do public work more capable, and to make the intelligence they rely on something the public can examine.
Agencies hold enormous amounts of information and rarely see it together, so decisions get made on whichever fragment surfaced first. We build the layer that assembles the whole picture and leaves the decision with a person.
What the name means
Astramir joins three words, each chosen for what we want the company to stand for.
Astra: A fixed point to navigate by
From the Latin for stars. People have found their way by them for thousands of years, and splitting their light is how we learned what they are made of.
Mir: Understanding, in service of peace
From mirar, Spanish for to see, and mir, a word for both peace and the world. We help people understand what is happening so their communities are safer.
.ai: The future, spelled out
Together, mir and .ai spell mirai, Japanese for future. The domain finishes the word.
We built VerityAI™ where the work happens.
Our team spent months in the field with police departments, real-time crime centers (RTCCs), health and safety teams, transit agencies, and transportation departments. Three lessons came up again and again.
The picture is scattered
Agencies run dozens of systems that were never meant to work together. The information exists. What is missing is a way to see it together, in time to act.
A person answers for it
Every decision has a name attached. That person needs to see why the system flagged something.
The record has to last
Decisions get reviewed months later, by people who were not there. The record of what happened, and why, has to stand up to that review.
How we work
Our principles guide everyday decisions, and they apply to leadership first. We use AI wherever it helps, and a named person still owns every decision it informs.
Trust
We never overstate what VerityAI™ can do. Anyone at Astramir can stop a release, and when a deadline conflicts with a promise to an agency or the public, the deadline moves.
Innovation
The best idea wins, whoever it comes from. We run small experiments on real data, stop the ones that fail, and write up what we learned. We innovate on the product, never on ethics or the law.
Scale
We build so the hundredth deployment is safer than the first. When something works only because one person stayed late, we fix the process so it works every time.
Governance has an owner
Our Chief AI Governance Officer sits on the leadership team, with the authority to stop a release that does not meet our standards.
The same discipline is built into VerityAI™. Its AI Governance module keeps each agency in charge of what the model learns and what goes into use.

Leadership
Anyone signing a public contract should know exactly who is accountable. Our leadership team answers for Astramir's direction, and our Chief AI Governance Officer holds the authority to stop it.
